Wellness

Euganea spas (Abano, Montegrotto and Galzignano Terme) are renowned for their hyper thermal waters and for mud therapy, very effective against articulations diseases. Guests of Hotel Villa del Poeta are welcomed at Galzignano Spa and Revital Centre and at the Petrarca Hotel Wellness Center in Montegrotto. At Galzignano health treatments and thermal pools are available at La Contea Health and Wellness Centre.

A literature park

Petrarch and his journeys: Arezzo, Avignon, Arquà. Our village is twinned with Fontaine de Vaucluse, in France. As we do today, Petrarch was in search of peaceful and quiet landscapes here. The Euganean Hills area is a great park of literature: along centuries, many artists visited these places and found inspiration here. Of course, patronage helped.

Among castles, fortresses and walled towns

Arquà is a good example of medieval spirit, and of balance between nature and culture. Around it, a region rich in sites and heritage from the XII to the XV centuries: castles, fortresses, churches and - above all - walls! For our region, the Middle Ages were a time of invasions and rugged disputes between feuds, which led to the edification of castles and walls to protect the growing towns. The Euganean Hills are a perfect location for visiting the most beautiful towns in north-eastern Italy - Padua, Venice, Verona, Vicenza, Mantova and Ferrara. More...
